Spring and Summer Interns

Are you looking for more experience in computer science? Want to see how technology can be used to help communities? Mosaic offers spring and summer internships for qualified candidates. This position will work as part of a team to liaison with customers to document their social service activities, translate these activities into software requirements, and then implement these requirements into code.

We're looking for self-motivated, confident personality types with strong interpersonal skills. You are working towards a degree in computer science or a related discipline and have experience developing software using the Java programming language. Database experience is an added advantage along with good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work at least 20 hours a week and personal transportation to and from our office in Santa Barbara, California is a must.

Project Manager - Job Posting - January 2014

Position Overview:

The Project Manager has overall accountability for planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, administration, and day-to-day Client communications for multiple concurrent software implementation projects. The Project Manager has overall responsibility to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and per specifications.

Responsibilities:

Utilize project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and progress of assigned projects.
Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
Assist with driving delivery of projects in spite of hurdles; coordinate across functions to ensure projects are delivered within scope and on time.
Understand the needs and motivations of all stakeholders, in order to meet the project objectives.
Manage day-to-day communications effectively and appropriately with both semi-technical and non-technical team members, both in-house and Clients.
Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
Support business development initiatives, product demos, and contract negotiations as needed.

Education and Skills Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters Degree, preferably in Human Services, Social Services, or Education.
3+ years of hands-on experience the human or social services arena, with significant experience in project or program implementation.
3+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle desirable.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at a time and prioritize tasks.
Able to handle shifting priorities, demands, and timelines, through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong coaching, client relations, and leadership skills.
Ability to read, understand, and administer contracts.
Excellent written & oral communication skills.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office Tools.
